After the event you could write the guest names on the covers of the envelopes, and enclose a small photo of them from the day - making it a lovely keepsake of your special day.

If you are concerned that not all your guests will make it to the guestbook table, you could always place one of the included note cards at each place setting so guests can write their message before the meal begins. A small vase on each table for the cards to be put into would be an elegant touch. This method is also useful if you are worried about spillages on the cover of the guestbook - as the book itself needn't be on display - you or one of your attendents can collect up the cards and insert them into the envelopes later.
